Our Classic Relic finishes are made for those who seek a truly vintage aesthetic and a tone that tells stories. Every mark and crack in the nitro finish is intentional and handcrafted, capturing the feel of a well-worn, well-loved instrument. A timeless classic for those who value authenticity.

  • Body in premium basswood or poplar, in 2 pieces. European tonewoods, carefully selected, seasoned, resonant, and lightweight.
  • Semi-hollow body, with F-hole
  • Finish in 100% glossy nitro paint
  • Relic/aged effect made by hand (* we can also do crackings on the paint at an additional cost)
  • Neck in maple with maple or rosewood fretboard, radius 9.5", 22 jumbo frets in nickel, bone nut
  • 3-ply pickguard made in plastic material, with aluminium shielding in the potentiometers area and aged finish
  • Artisanal Franchin pickups, totally handwound by our pickups technician following vintage specifications

Pickups

Bridge: alnico 5 staggered handwound awg42 plain enamel, vulcanized fibre, dipped in nitro, lightly waxed. Vintage style, pushback cloth lead wires.

Middle: alnico 5 staggered handwound awg42 plain enamel, vulcanized fibre, dipped in nitro, lightly waxed, reverse wound / reverse polarity. Vintage style, pushback cloth lead wires.

Neck: alnico 5 staggered handwound awg42 plain enamel, vulcanized fibre, dipped in nitro, lightly waxed. Vintage style, pushback cloth lead wires.

CTS potentiometers 250k log, 0.022 uF OrangeDrop capacitors. Switchcraft mono output jack.

Pickups

Bridge: vintage style accurate P.A.F. humbucker, correct era steel slugs, pole screws, keeper bar, long or short alnico 5 rough magnet vintage accurate clone, nickel silver short legs baseplate, awg42 plain enamel. Options: black, white, reverse zebra, double white, nickel silver chromed cover, nickel silver bare cover. Braided shielded cloth or four conductor wire. Lightly potted in wax.

Middle: alnico 5 staggered handwound awg42 plain enamel, vulcanized fibre, dipped in nitro, lightly waxed, reverse wound / reverse polarity. Vintage style, pushback cloth lead wires.

Neck: alnico 5 staggered handwound awg42 plain enamel, vulcanized fibre, dipped in nitro, lightly waxed. Vintage style, pushback cloth lead wires.

Wiring

CTS potentiometers 500k log (our special wiring allows single coils to “see” 250k and 500k for the humbucker), 0.022 uF OrangeDrop capacitors. Switchcraft mono output jack.
Options: push/pull, push/push, autosplit in position 2.
